Graphic Designer | Calgary

​

Position Summary:

The Graphic Designer works in conjunction with the Graphic Design & Marketing team, to provide design and marketing support to Aspen Properties, Flex Space and the Calgary Tower.

​

Regular hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. This position reports directly to the Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator.

​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the maintenance and upkeep of Aspen Properties, Aspen Flex, and the Calgary Tower visual identity standards

  • Delivers on company requirements for graphic and layout creations in print, web, and digital. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Leading internal and external signage 

    • Internal and external website updates

    • Internal brand development (logos etc.)

    • External brochures and marketing packages (proposals, submissions)

    • External monthly email updates (Mail chimp) 

    • External platform updates (company listing updates, social media channel updates, Aspen App updates)  

  • Collaborates with the marketing team to develop and execute creative campaigns that drive engagement and awareness of our commercial real estate offerings

  • Assists in the coordination and visual content creation for Calgary Tower and Aspen Properties video walls, website, and social media

  • Develops and maintains a library of marketing assets, including images, templates, and other design elements, to be used across various marketing channels.

  • Completes all hardcopy and electronic proof approvals and relevant press checks

  • Works collaboratively in a team focused department, while also excelling on independent projects

  • Implement marketing plan objectives for projects, initiatives, and product launches, while ensuring alignment with the overall corporate brand strategy

  • Maintains current technical knowledge through workshops, review of professional publications and participation in professional events and associations

  • Provides the most effective design approach in accordance with budget and time considerations

  • Special projects and other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Portfolio required

  • University degree or College diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Marketing, or an equivalent combination is required

  • 2-3 years Graphic Design experience with a strong proficiency in Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Light Room, XD) and Figma.

  • 1+ year of marketing and content creation experience is considered an asset

  • Experience with video content creation, Premier Pro and After Effect is considered an asset

  • Strong proficiency in Content Management Systems including WordPress, Wix, and Framer.

  • Familiarity with CSS, and HTML is considered an asset

  • Social media experience including YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn 

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to tailor the style, tone, and voice to represent our various lines of business and differing content

  • Photography experience is considered an asset

  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts and tight deadlines

  • Superior internal and external customer service skills

  • Honesty and integrity combined with a high level of initiative and dedication

  • Successful City of Calgary Police Check and Educational Check
